GreenSocs® was formed in 2005 to offer a complete range of solutions for the implementation of Model Based Design Engineering for embedded systems.
Those solutions range from implementation of the design cycle to the delivery of pre-developed models through support of modeling teams of customers and to complete outsourcing of modeling.
We make use of (but not exclusively) open source tools for modeling (GreenSocs Open Source Technology) which multiplies the potential of SystemC.
The GreenSocs mission is to enable the ESL community to quickly develop models and tools that can be used together with independence of vendor (whether the vendor is of models or tools). Our scope includes everything from package management for ESL, simple IP blocks, integration's with scripting tools and of course interfaces.
The GreenTeam building tools of your dreams.
Dr Mark Burton is the founder of GreenSocs. Mark graduated from Warwick University with a degree in computer systems engineering. He worked for some years for Inmos (now part of ST microelectornics) and then moved to ACRI (The Advanced Computer Research Institute). He completed a PhD in Artificial Intelligence within Education, specifically focusing on the simulation of high level collaborative learning processes. Mark then worked for ARM becoming the manager of the modeling group. At this time he was also the chair of the OSCI TLM WG.
Mark formed GreenSocs with a number of aims, notably to support the entire Electronic System Level industry to better inter-operate, but also to support research and development environments to have more contact with relevant industrial tools and techniques.

Francis graduated from INSA Toulouse with a specialization in Automatic, Electronic and Software. He worked for CISI and CS (listed on Paris Stock Exchange) where he held various positions in commercial development, director of the skills and department manager Aeronautic and Industry, including critical embedded systems. In his current assignments he is particularly interested in the efficient development of new business and as such he brings his experience and skills for the benefit of business development of GreenSocs.
Christian graduated from Université Paris-Sud-11 with a M.Sc. in Computer Science and he qualified as an Industrial Computer Systems Engineer with an Engineer Diploma. He graduated from Université Toulouse I Capitole with a MBA. He worked for CISI and CS (listed on Paris Stock Exchange) where he held various positions in engineering and management, including Vice President Aerospace Branch (€80M) and Chief Operating Officer Mission Critical Systems Branch (€100M) serving Aeronautics, Space and Defense majors in Europe.
Christian has founded several companies, including CS Canada, an Engineering start-up focusing on the development of Avionics Embedded Systems for North American Customers. In his current assignments he is particularly interested in the efficient implementation of business models and as such he brings his experience and skills for the benefit of business development of GreenSocs. He also participates in the launch of the open source platform OPEES/POLARSYS for embedded systems in Eclipse and performs various support or evaluation missions of investment projects.
Fred graduated from ENSEIRB in the domain of electronics and embedded systems. He joined GreenSocs in September 2012 as an electronic engineer.
Guillaume graduated from ENSSAT Lannion (a French graduate engineering school) in the domain of Electronics and Computer Engineering. It has also been graduated from Université de Rennes 1 (a French university) with a Master in research specialized in Embedded Systems. He joined GreenSocs in February 2015 trough thesis about the standardization of interfaces in SystemC. Guillaume is a researcher and a developer who loves robotics, electronics and technology watch. He is currently the president of an association of robotics.
